Deepika Padukone Goes Goth Glam

Deepika Padukone is known for her soft, minimal look, with few accessories, flat shoes and soft colours; rather understated and relaxed.

So it was quite a surprised to everyone when she revealed a new look on red carpet,looking drastically different at the 55th Filmfare awards Saturday night in Mumbai.

Discribed as 'glam goth', Deepika wore a black lurex jersey gown with a patent leather cup, and a delicate signature Shantanu and Nikhil hand drape around the bust line and black heels. Adding to the effect were black nails and deep smokey eyes.

The sensuously glamorous makeover, transformed the actress from girl-next-door into pure diva, even her body language was noticeably more confident.

It seems Deepika is really breaking our of this good-girl image.

After admitting she had never cut her hair in the whole of her life, she suddenly cropped it into sexy, short layers for her film Karthik Calling Karthik and may even wear a bikini in her next film.

It will be interesting to see what other surprises she has in store for us.
